299 invalid B/L in B04/N9

Receive 299 invalid B/L in B04/N9 error message after submit AMS Ocean? what is it and how to fix this issue?

If you're NVOCC or FF and get this rejection message after submit House AMS Ocean, it means the Ocean Carrier file the wrong Master AMS Ocean.  

Solution

Ask your Ocean Carrier to update their Master AMS Ocean from "0 regular B/L type" to "Master Bill"(import to US)  or "Master FROB"(FROB). 

Reason

CBP expect there is no House AMS Ocean linked carrier's AMS filing when carrier file their AMS as Regular B/L type.
